Do You Have Bad Breath?

Whew! Is it the garlic pizza you ate last night or is something wrong? You’ve received bad breath, and even if nobody points it out to you, you probably know it. If it’s a persistent problem, bad breath, or halistosis, is usually the result of tooth decay and periodontal (gum) disease. Having a nose, tonsil or sinus infection can cause your breath to smell offensive too. And, of course, it could moreover be the garlci pizza, yet that will subside after about a day and won’t recur until the next time you eat another pungent food.
Masking the odor of offensive breath doesn’t assist much – the freshening effect of mouthwashes and breath sprays are short-lived. It’s better to try to obtain rid of the cause of the offensive breath. Have your dental problems taken care of by your dentist. Avoid future dental problems by avoiding cavity causing foods and taking care of your teeth and gums. See your doctor to assist obtain rid of any tonsil or sinus infection you might have. And if you’re a garlic, onion, or spic-food lover, make sure your friends eat the same foods you eat – that way you won’t notice or be able to complain about each other’s breath.
